Leaves finally changing in Bradshaws

Aspens in fall color

Please forgive spelling and grammar as these posts are loaded from my phone.

It's been a long lingering fall with comfortable temps here in the Bradshaws. Aspens changed color several weeks ago, but we had a hard freeze last night with snow the day before. This upcoming weekend will be a good time to drop into the mountains to see fall colors. The maples, gamble oaks and others should be perfect. Cool weather makes for great walks.

Most of the deer are still high except for a few local resident deer. It usually takes a lot of snow to push them off the high mountains.
Scrub Jays are working hard placing caches everywhere.

One place to consider visiting would be above the town of Mayer along Big Bug Creek. There are several dirt roads that lead to the area. Cottonwood and willow trees line the creek. This is, also, a nice place to have a picnic as Big Bug Creek is flowing. Lots of javelina in this area. to see.

Have fun and pick up some litter while out and enjoy the fall. Mark
